With the update version 2.0.4 of the OncoBox Lung, enhancements have been implemented in several places and minor bugs have been fixed. An updated specification with changes compared to the previous version can be downloaded below. Only the new version 2.0.4 is to be used for audits in 2025.
A list of all relevant changes can be found in the following table:
Change / Adjustment | Documentation Centre | Export from tumour documentation system |
---|---|---|
Histology codes: Extension of the valid histology codes to include the corresponding ****/6 codes (see ‘Histologie codes’ worksheet in the specification) | Documentation of the extended codes, if applicable. | Transmission of the extended codes, if applicable. |
Case categories: Inclusion of the condition "Recurrence after curative/anatom. R0 resection or after ablative stereotactic radiotherapy = Yes” in the case category ’Recurrence". In the previous version, this condition was only required in the corresponding indicators. With this change, a recurrence case can only be categorised and is usable if this condition is fulfilled and transmitted. | --- | --- |
To-Do-List: New „New not usable“-criteria | Processing the to-dos | --- |
Indicators 1b, 2b, 5, 6 and 30: If a patient has several usable cases (e.g. recurrence + new distant metastasis) in the same indicator year, all cases are counted. Cases that cannot be counted in accordance with the document ‘SOP counting cases in the certification system’ are to be transmitted as ‘Non-centre case’. | Non-countable cases (in accordance with the document ‘SOP counting cases in the certification system’ are to be documented as ‘Non-centre case’. | --- |
Case profile / case list: Addition of the fields ‘Overall assessment of residual status’ (for surgical cases) and ‘Overall assessment of tumour status’ (for non-surgical cases) to indicate whether the case was postth. tumour-free. | --- | --- |
Furthermore, version 2.0.4 pilots a new approach to the quality of results with the following 3 modules:
EQ Performance is intended to enable a standardized representation of the outcome quality results across all organs at calendar year level. Similar to the currently valid matrix for quality of outcome, the focus here is primarily on the follow-up rate with regard to the calendar year. This makes it possible to answer questions like: What is the current follow-up rate for cases between 2020 and 2022?
The EQ Clinical looks at the outcome quality of the case collective 1 year, 3 years, 5 years and 10 years after the case date/count date. In contrast to the EQ Performance, the evaluation time in the EQ Clinical is not the calendar year, but the periods after the case date. This makes it possible to answer questions like: How many cases have died after 3 years with an event?
The EQ indicators are intended to enable a structured evaluation of the outcome quality parameters, analogous to the existing key figure sheet, e.g. ‘How high is the overall survival after 3 years for primary cases stage III and IV’?
The new concepts for outcome quality also allow non-primary cases to be analyzed.
These new concepts are to be validated as part of the pilot program. They are not part of the certification and are not exported to the data sheet. You will find the corresponding concepts in the top menu ‘Ergebnisqualität (Pilot)’.
